Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. – Oprah
Since many people are still struggling around the country, it may be hard for some to find something to be thankful for. Therefore, on this Thanksgiving Eve, I’d like to mention some statistics that have recently been passed along to me.
- If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head & place to sleep, then you are more blessed than 75% of this world.
- If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, than you are more blessed than the Million people who will not survive this week.
- If you have any money in the bank, in your wallet, or spare change in a dish, then you are doing better than over 90% of the people in the world.
- If you can attend a church, mosque, synagogue, temple, etc… without fear of being attacked, harassed, or killed, then you are more blessed than 3 Billion people in this world.
- If you haven’t experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of prison, or the pangs of starvation, then you are more blessed than 500 million people in the world.
- If your parents are still alive & still married then you live in a very rare and committed family.
- And if you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful for what God has given you, then you are doubly blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
- Finally, if you can read this message, you are more blessed than over 2 billion people I this world who cannot read at all.
Therefore, remember just how blessed you really are & give thanks always!
Happy Thanksgiving! God Bless! & remember to always – Heed the Spirit,
Anthony
