My brethren,
No one “loses” God by accident; and nobody wanders from home unknowingly. Any feeling of “separation” between us and God is of our own making. In truth, we’ve separated ourselves through our own act of rebellion and by following our own selfish desires. And so, whether you believe it or not, we actually made the choice to be here on this earth.
Now, this wasn’t exactly God’s plan for His children. God created us to be His companions; and wanted us living eternally by His side in His Kingdom. But, free-will has its consequences; and so some souls through their use of this gift “separated” themselves from their Source & “fell” from a higher level of consciousness. I say “some” because there are many other souls who never made the choice to enter physical flesh; and since the beginning of time they have never lost the spiritual consciousness of being fully united to God & understanding the Oneness of all things.
Ultimately, our free-will choice to enter into matter is what is known in Theology as the “Fall of Man” or “Fall From Grace” (Genesis 3). And the story of Adam & Eve’s banishment from the Garden of Eden is trying to teach us that it is our choices which have separated us from God. For, Adam & Eve’s selfish choice to eat the fruit, which they had been commanded not to, is what caused their banishment from the presence of God. And their selfish desire of wanting to “be like God” was the motivation behind this choice.
Therefore, when we choose to follow our selfish desires, rather than the will of God, we ultimately “cut our selves off” from God’s presence. And as we give into more selfish choices, we eventually move further into darkness; feel more disconnected; and become stuck or entangled in this material world. However, if we set our heart aright, and make better choices, we can attain our salvation & break the chains of bondage.
And let us thank Almighty God for His mercy and love; because He desired none of us to be separated from Him eternally. Therefore, even though we may not fully recognize it yet, He has given us infinite opportunities to return to Him. The will of God is our salvation, our happiness, and our eternal union with Him. But, just as our “Fall In Consciousness” came by our own choice, so too must our reunion come about from our own free-will decision. God will not force us to return to Him, know Him, or love Him. Our salvation & return has to be a choice we make entirely on our own.
God bless you on your own journey home & remember to always – Heed the Spirit,
Anthony
