“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.“ – Jesus

These words of Jesus, recorded for humanity, in the Gospel of John, have a very significant and deep meaning. Nicodemus, the person that Jesus spoke these words to, didn’t fully comprehend that meaning. Nicodemus, was too attached to the material and physical plane. His consciousness was not heightened enough, so he thought that being “born again” referred to another physical birth and he said to Jesus:

“How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” (John 3:4)

Nicodemus didn’t understand because Jesus was speaking as an enlightened being, from a higher state of consciousness; and the “rebirth” Jesus was speaking of was a spiritual one.

The truth is that we are not just physical entities. We are soul beings. We are beings created “in the image & likeness of God” (Genesis 1:27); which means we are created from the Spirit of God. For, in the beginning, Spirit, being the only “substance”, had nothing but Itself from which to create.  Therefore, all of creation is nothing but different manifestations of Spirit.

Now, to help you get a better understanding I will do a little updating of terminology. You have to be aware that our ancient ancestors, living thousands of years ago, didn’t have the scientific knowledge, or use the terms we do today, to describe things. Therefore, the word “SPIRIT” would be equivalent to the word “ENERGY” in our modern language. And so, when our ancestors said “God is Spirit”; it is the same thing as saying “God is Energy”. And when they said that we are “Spiritual Beings” or “made in the image and likeness of God”; it is the same as saying we are “Beings of Energy”.

Inherently, we should recognize this truth; for science and scientists, such as Einstein, have shown that all matter is energy & the entire universe is nothing but energy. So, humans, being matter and part of the universe, are at their essence — “Energy”. And “God”, who set the Creation in motion, is the Conscious Energy from which all is created.

Most of us are so attached to the physical, that we are blind & ignorant, of our True Nature. We don’t see beyond the physical body and come to know ourselves as Eternal Spiritual (Energetic) Beings. But, the truth is, that before we incarnated on earth we had already existed in the Spiritual Realm of Energy. And now, the true goal of life on earth is to regain that knowledge of who we really are so that we can awaken, or as Jesus said, be reborn as the Spiritual Entities we were created to be. Our purpose is to reconnect to the Energy from which we came by birthing the soul (drop of spirit) within us. That way we can awaken our true potential and reclaim the birth right that we were given.

Therefore, however long it may take, I encourage you all to “Know Thyself”. For when you learn who & what you are within, you will never care what people say of you. Also, you will never again feel lonely, worthless, unhappy, or weak. You will have found the key which unlocks your unlimited power and discover the truth which really does set you free.
